                                   Arvilla Rienbolt,  PANA

                                   Arvilla Jordan Rienbolt, 85, of Pana and formerly of
                                   Grayville, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at
                                   the Heritage Manor in Pana.

                                   She was born July 31, 1915 at Omaha, the daughter of
                                   Joseph and Sally (Holloman) Hancock. She was married
                                   Oct. 9, 1934 at Harrisburg to R. Lowell Jordan, who
                                   preceded her in death on June 2, 1968. She then married
                                   Loren A. Rienbolt at Grayville on Nov. 24, 1970. He
                                   preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1986. She was a
                                   member of the Grayville First Presbyterian Church and
                                   was an accomplished musician.

                                   Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and
                                   Shirley Jordan of Welaka, Fla. and Jerry and Linda
                                   Jordan of Pana; two grandchildren; three
                                   great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judith Hartwell of Mt.
                                   Vernon, Ill.

                                   She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son,
                                   James L. "Jim" Jordan on Sept. 18, 1996; and one
                                   grandson, Martin Drake Jordan, in December 1995.

                                   Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the
                                   Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville, the Rev. William Minor
                                   officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Norris
                                   City. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the
                                   funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the
                                   American Cancer Society.

Hattie R. Renschler

Hattie R. Renschler, 93 of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Carmi died Saturday afternoon February 17, 2001 in Tucson. She was born March 13, 1907 in Carmi the daughter of Alfred and Lucy (Jackson) Hutchcraft. She married Edwin Renschler on February 3, 1932 and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1990.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law Nellie Hansman of Tucson, AZ, three grandchildren, Larry Hansman, Kelli Kwiatkowski, and Kristi Hansman; six great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Verla Munsey of Carmi, two sisters-in-law, Catherine Winter of Carmi and Anna South of Sedalia, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her son Harold L. Hansman, three brothers, Bill, Albert and Norman Hutchcraft, and four sisters, Minnie Cherry, Laura Doerr, Mamie Turner, and Mary Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at the Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. till the time of service. Burial will be in the North Maple Ridge Cemetery.


Leonard Eugene "Gene" Reeder

Leonard Eugene "Gene" Reeder, 70 of Carmi died Monday afternoon March 5, 2001 at the Health South Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN. He was born August 1, 1930 in Carmi the son of Isaac and Nell (Smock) Reeder. He marrried Betty Marie Browning on August 3, 1955 in Carmi and she preceded him in death on May 16, 2000.

He was retired from Alcoa and was also a retired staff sergeant from the United States Air Force, having served for 20 years. He was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son and daughter in law, Kenneth E. and Donna Reeder of Ft. Branch, In; three daughters and son in law, Deborah L. Harvey of Newburgh, In, Julie A. Reeder of Sandoval, and Kimberly J. and Tim Ward of Dennison; nine grandchildren, and two step grandchildren, Daniel, Mark, Laura, Jon, Genelle, Christopher, Sheena, Kindra, Tori, Brooke and Chad; two sisters in law, Phyllis Browning and Dorothy Barr; nephew and nieces, Doug, Carla, Denise, Danielle and Amber Browning, and Carolyn Dunn. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m on Thursday March 8, 2001 at Cherry Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the combined veteran units. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m on Wednesday March 7, 2001 at the Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home in Carmi and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the Cherry Street Baptist Church Building Fund.


Inez Mary Ritcheson

Inez Mary Ritcheson, 87, of Carmi died Wednesday evening May 16, 2001 at her home. She was born July 29, 1913 in Dale, the daughter of John and Henretta (Griffith) Biggerstaff. She married Roy Ritcheson June 4, 1930 at Enfield, and he preceded her in death October 17, 1988.

Mrs. Ritcheson was a retired seamstress and worked many years for Ainsbrook. She was a charter member of the Church of God in Carmi.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Paul Fishback and Mary Ann and Arnold Vaughan, all of Carmi; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Nieces and nephews also survive. Eleven brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday May 19, 2001 at the Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home in Carmi, with burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday May 18, 2001 at the funeral home.


Beatrice "Bea" Renshaw

Beatrice "Bea" Renshaw, 74, of Carmi, died Wednesday afternoon, October 31, 2001 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born April 4, 1927 in New York the daughter of Joseph and Mary Cameron. She married Ray Renshaw on February 3, 1963 in McLeansboro and he survives.

Mrs. Renshaw was a registered nurse and a member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband Ray; her mother-in-law, Leota Renshaw of Carmi; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Ann and Joe Brumett of Orange, Virginia and Marilyn Clark of Indian Hills, Florida; six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday November 3, 2001 at Kuykendall Cemetery with Rev. Ron Lamp officiating. The family requests no flowers but memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,   Visiting Nurses Association, or the donor’s choice. The Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.


Florence E. Robinson

Florence E. Robinson, 76 of Carmi, died Sunday evening August 20, 2000 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN.

She was born June 9, 1924 in Carmi the daughter Charles William and Ida (Collins) Dungy. She married John Wesley Robinson and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1993.

She is survived by one son, John William Robinson of Washington, D.C.; one granddaughter Janine Robinson; two sisters, Evelyn D. Calvert and Alyce D. Scott both of Carmi, and one brother, Leonard Dungey of Carmi. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Sherod Dungy and two sisters, Mary Macmurray and Katie Harrison.

Mrs. Robinson attended the First United Methodist Church and the Nazarene Church both in Carmi.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday August 24, 2000 at the Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in North Maple Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday.
